December 1 is World AIDS Day, a day dedicated to raising awareness of the AIDS pandemic. According to the latest estimates from the UN, there are 33.2 million people living with HIV worldwide, and 2.1 million people have died of AIDS this year.To help raise a little bit of awareness about this tragic problem and the ways that ordinary people can help, I've written an article for The Catholic Northwest Progress about a recent college grad who's volunteering in Tanzania serving AIDS orphans.
